i did all my own work and had never done a atv fourstroke, with the manual and the forum it is way easy. it was actually pleasing to see how well that engine is put together, marks for lining things up bolts to hold top dead center made it so it was easy. the manual shows the torques and a few pictures and the rest is easy there was a few little things like the top screw in the intake manifold but a round end allen takes care of that. it really helped me understand my quad. plus the dealers will kind of help but most of them don't have a lot of experience with the 650, they don't break much. my dealer hasn't been into one yet, and they have sold them since the beginning. now they ask me a few questions.

HP? You ask? I'll tell you. PIPE, .425 Cams with shim underbuckets, 12:5:1 piston, 45mm carb, RWR CDI, Direct mount Filter and Headwork -valves. Around 54 to 60 H.P. at the wheels, Guranteed! You can get evreything for the motor internally for about $900.00 from TVI and that includes a Manual. Carb around $300.00 and then you need your intake hogged out. For $1500.00 you won't get any headwork done and you will have to do all the work yourself. If you can hold off for a couple of weeks I will hopefully be able to tell you how fast you can go for $2000.00 to $2500.00. Probably about 70 h.p. at the wheels.

Yeah, I would get the full exhaust. If you don't have a ton of money go with the Works shocks, they work real nice. Make sure when they build them you get the adjustable compression and 5/8 shafts though.
