So you are or are not going to do the mods yourself?

If it's internal work I will take it to my dealer to have it done.

Yes you can with money to spare, IF you use your resorces!!! ATVconnection, just became your #1 resorce my friend.

Ask around the forum, and poeple will most likely have what you need(but tell them what you want first), as in what you are hopeing for, what type of riding you do.etc......

If these guys don't have every part you need, they will tell you where to go, to get the best deal.

For instance, headwork(portjob) will run you around $400. then a good carb will be $250(new, might find one on here for cheaper). Cams???? I don't know but probably $300(again, may get some in here for alot cheaper). Piston, same thing. And so on and so on.

Are you mechanically inclined???? but just new to ATV motors??

Just be honest with yourself, and decide what type of POWER, will suite your riding needs.

buy a manual and do the work yourself. it is rather fun and then you will know your machine very well. i don't think there is anything you can do that people in here can't help you figure out. and as far as piston and cams they are fairly easy to do!

KMduner, put up a great link to a company with great prices, on TM45mm Mikuni carbs. I think the tread was "anyone have two carbs, not dual carbs" or somthing like that. Look in that thread.

Also The Lectron 44mm, is a great carb , and is easier to tune(i think).
