Programmable CDI revisited
#11
OH sorry guy's i should have done a little better job on the description its a wee bit smaller than the stock style. It mounts with a slip boot and steel bracket(the steelframe mounts and then holds a rubber boot in place to which you force the unit in the pocket and it's tight so it dosent slip back out )like a kangy in its mothers pouch And on the same end where both cables come out in one corner it has a cute little boot you raise that baby and wham you GET A BONER !!!!!!!!! 10 read my lips 10 coustom made programed map settings for ME !!!!! And thats not all when you get done drooling over that you can move on to the cable. Of course you have the standard plug to plug the unit in and the other cable conbtains the switch which is mounteds on the handle bar it has two posistion 1X and 10X if im reading my instructions right the 1X is my good old default program (kind of like a saftey program and the 10X is the program im want to run in at the given time .That is what america's about the freedom too choose well now i must move on to the install and report my findings !!!

I'm also interested in the CDI, how it performs!!!
I've been e-mailing the mfg for a week or so. They won't tell me if the CDI will work on the 2000 and 2001 DS. Does anyone know for sure if there is a different CDI for different years?
