Default Possible battery problem????

I bought a new DS a few weeks ago. It started fine at the dealer, but when I went to take it to Florence a week later the engine turned over 3-4 times then the battery went dead. I had to jump it from my truck all weekend when starting it cold (warm starts seemed ok while I was riding). On the way home I picked up a charger/maintainer and left it on for a week. The next weekend it turned slowly for a dozen turns and then the battery was dead. Hooked it up to the truck again and it fired if instantly.

Do I have a defective battery? or are these bikes just that hard to start?

Help!!!!!!!

Thanks! I'll call TVI tomorrow then. It'll be a week or two before I'm down in the Beaverton/Hillsboro area again so I'll just jump it till then.

BTW - must be nice to be that close to the sand! What are you, 1-2 hours max?

Don't tell them you jumped it with a truck or they may not replace it. Tell them you jumped it off another quad, and in future this would be the best thing to do.

You shouldn't jump it that much.... If you keep jumping it you will mess up your rectifier (the little black thing under your airbox)I found out the hard way...

Dude I bought my bike about 16 mos ago and the yuasa battery still kicks it instantly. I think you have a defective one and being sooooo new still under warranty --- take it back and make em replace/repair. C-ya.
