dynojet 210 main too big???
guys check this out, ive looked at all the posts and buttfungus jet chart and ive done lots of experimenting....... anyway as ive added more and more mods ive kept increasing through all the jet sizes in my dynojet kit, for the last 6 months ive been running the 200 DJ main with the needle on the 3rd position....... I am at 1000' altitude.. This is a larger jet than most, (stock carb), ive only heard of one other member using a 200, but ive tried them all and this is the jet needed to run the best........ I run modified filter( a twin air in the stock location but with the top, sides and bottom cut out of the air box) i run a graydon header fitted up with a Yosh exhaust with spark arrestor out, and the largest exit they make, the race style, thats it for eng mods....... Anyway the point of my story is i just got a carb mount single layer foam filter and will be puttin it on, i got ahold of a 210 DJ main, the kit does not come with one that big.. And am wondering if the differece in basically getting rid of the air intake tube is going to require a step up in main jet, they dont make a 205 so it will be a big jump. Well ill do test runs of both the 200 and the 210 but does this seem too big?
anyway thanks guys,
i guess a helpful answer to my question would be how much of a jump in jet sizes did you go up from lidless airbox to the carb mount.

That does sound big. If it's just the main jet your worried about do a plug check after running WOT. It should be a tan color for optimum performance. It also wouldn't hurt to do a plug check at quarter throttle and half throttle so you can get it dialed in perfect.
I ran a 180 main jet in mine this winter and it's way too rich for it. After I get mine back together I have to do some tweekin'
