to 45 or not?

I was wondering if i should run a tm 45 i just bought it and my mechanic said to run the stocker cuase on the dunes you dont need it. he has a kit withg a custon high compression piston custom ground cams, port work and stock carb and is getting 56hp he only charges 1600$ for the kit i was wondering if you all think the tm45 is a solid chice or stick with his opinion?

The real question should be, do you want to go faster with better throttle response,etc,etc??????? Then Install it.... once you do, your question will be answered and you will throw that cv carb in the trash.

i got mine from gary at tvi, that is a good deal, i took mine to the shop and they just put a 160 main a 47.5 pilot, and on the fourth clip on the needle, that waswith a 1 1/4 turn out on the airscrew. i haven't had it to the coast to see how it works, that is with a full pipe and piston and cam. where did you get one for 288. it does seem to rev faster with the carb. oh and that is with carb mount k&n. that sounds like a nice kit your guy has.

I got mine on ebay from a motorsomthing im not sure what there called but they are listed under harleys so if anyone needs on thats the place and i still need to get the filter, what did you do about the cable can you adapt the stock one? any tricks?

i ran well for 2 seasons with the stock carb and was able to keep up with stage II competiters, this includes mostly sand
