Would a DS650 Baja be able to be used as a woods racer? Or would it be better to use something else?

They would have to be some pretty wide open trails. The DS really isn't designed for this application but getting a set of ITP wheels would narrow your DS to just over 47". Replace the stock 10x6 with 10x5's and go to a 10x8 as compared to the stock 9x9's. The narrower wheels will pinch the tires better & raise the sidewalls giving you a little better ground clearance for trail obstacles as an added bonus. Of course you'll want to go to 22's in the rear & 23's up front.
