Anyone running a ported head(not hogged out) with stk valves? What gains did you see? I'm thinking about port work when i install my piston and cams(RWR sport), but i don't wanna go up on the valves sizes(usually loose tq down low that way). Who would you reccomend? What does it usually run to have it done?

I have heard that if you plan on staying with stock bore there isn't much extra to be had with larger valves (although I think Ron Wood would disagree.)
If you go to a larger bore, the larger valves should really help you. As the bore size increases you now have a larger air pump so larger valves will allow the larger air pump to function better.
If you do have someone work on your head, keep in mind the guys that install larger valves will probably not work on your head if later you want them to. They don't want to be responsible for the work that was done before them.

Well I didn't get to Flow bench mine but I know a Kick but port job when i see it and man!! Mine is SWEET!!! I won't know how it goes until I actually get to ride against somebody though. The people who did mine specialize 90% in head work!!! Cost me $1050.00 complete!!!! That is with the biggest valves you can get!
