My ds jumps better than anything I have ever ridden!!!! The stock suspension is awsome, me and my friend made a few 40 ft doubles and it soaks them up like nothing!!!

 

ds is good for jumping but i broke one of my front shocks jumping like a month after i got it, and im only like 170lbs but works shocks seemed to solve the problem [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

i think it may depend on the certain bike, i was out at the dunes last weekend gettin big air like always, about 8 ft high by 50ft, Bent alot of rims at the dunes, anyway the stock DS shocks will bottom out on big jumps no matter how hard you preload them, but by far the best stock shock you could get on a atv, anyway there was a dude with a viper red 03 model and he hit the same jump and got about 4ft of air and came down a bit sideways and busted the axel, the entire wheel and hub came off!! so my guess was that was a factory defect part, i dunno if he was still under warrenty?

Me and my riding partner both have 2000 Bombs and we jump 40 ft out of the bowls all the time and never had a problem. They have stock suspension.

 

So the only real problems are the rims?

Does this mean the stock rims are shiat, or the bike is just too damn heavy??

well, i bent my rims a little... so i think its a little bit of both. if the ds was lighter, and the rims were stronger the rims would not bent too easy [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

So what kind of rims would be up to the task??
