Hey would be fine if he just puts it together like I said. Jus tget the cylinder O-Ringed and make sure the sleave is seated all the way in the bore and you will be ok. Also you have to trim the piston, which isn't very difficult. Actually you shouldn't have to trim the piston if Samcoe finally get's it corrected from JE.

From what my friend said from calling Sam Coe (mind you I can never get a hold of him I get the female that answers the phone) said that Sam Coe has new JE Pistons that the valve reliefs are bigger for oversized vavles. So possibly he has them in already. My friend read your post and didn't want to do all that extra stuff. He asked about the copper gasket.

You mentioned not to use the Tri Metal gasket. Why not? Also where does one get the head O-Ringed? I want one.. I'll prob get one down the road... but I need to see it proven. If I lived near ya I'd toss ya a couple of bucks and a six pack to help me out with this. I'm kind of glad he isn't getting it cause I wanted it first and I want to smoke his @ss. He thinks the Stage III is the be all end all of everything. He is rather knuckleheaded.

He runs a 11:5.1 piston now (like me). Now he thinks going up to a 12:5.1 will give him "at least 6 horsepower". I told him going up one compression point isn't going to do that. MR ASE CERTIFED swears by it. He also is getting rid of his TM45mm carb for a 48mm. Again I told him I think that would be a waste for a stock displacement machine. What do you guys think?

Angry I want a 720 kit...can ya post pics of what ya did and stuff ya used. I'm going to get one probably in July. Right now rebuilding my Son's T-Rex going to bore it to 118ccs and pipe it and carb kit.

I will try and post a couple of pics of the piston in the cylinder but I don't know if you will be able to tell to much. You can at least see the O-Ring though. The valve reliefs are fine the way they are it is the stator side of the piston that needs to be trimmed.

Angry,

Thanks for the pics...I still want this kit maybe my friend will get it based off the pics. Seeing coolant on the valve reliefs is scary tho.

Angry:

Are you going to come up to DS Days? I would love to see that thing run. Glad to hear you got things figured out. Now that you do, are you ready to go into the engine building business?

I think where 4SW's failed is in a comparison of bike to bike power. How does a 720/733 do against a Pami 703 vs. a 686 and/or 727 Raptor vs. a Pami 760, etc.

Sure would be great to line them all up and have a video of them going to the top of a hill (all with equal weight riders and none on the bottle or special fuels.)

If the bikes show up, I'll get the video and get it to the web somehow.

There are a few hills that are all power - no whoop section. Sure would show who had the most hill climbing power (and proper gearing.)

All this talk is making me hungry for more power.

Hey entomber, My motor has the new je piston and also all four oversize valves in it and i purchased them all from samcoe like 4 months ago. I havent had any problems with mine as far as clearences and also no head gasket problems. My motor is the 103mm bore, it uses the cometic gasket and so far so good. Even with this thing stroked it pulls in fifth gear all the way to 9000 rpm. I LOVE THE POWER!

What did he say? Is it a new cylinder or a pressed in sleeve? Is it a pami piston or JE? Taking core cylinders?

Quadloco's kit is a 733 stroker with a 103mm bore. He doesn't have it sleaved though. It is the 105mm setup that has the piston and sleaving head gasket problem!!
