Sam Coe may have more experience than TVI (with self made kits.) - TVI has been using Pami jugs and pistons and doing their own head work. Check into things before you jump in with both feet. Sam Coe may yet have more experience.

Gary has done a lot of R&D with the new stuff he has coming out and the guy that put's it together is a very Competent and Professional builder. by the way I don't think Gary has anything to do with Pami anymore!

the pami stuff is great and it seems to make the guys happy but it seems that the turn around for most major mods is kinda long. the way duneme went seems like the way to do it find the parts on line and have them sent then you can do the parts change quickly. well gary should have us another choice in a few weeks, on the larger bores, and sam coe may even get his to work someday. things just keep getting better for the ds. oh and trinity has a ds in the shop there working on a larger bore now so there is another builder that might get a kit put together.

All right!!! I found out what the heck is going on! I will start off by apologising to SAMCOE. I just received all the dirt yesterday on what the major malfunctions of htis kit have been. It turns out that JE messed up and didn't make the pistons like they were supposed to. They made the crown of the 105mm piston the same as the 100mm piston, hence the piston doesn't fit in the combustion chamber. As I speak the New pistons are being made and will be available in 2 weeks or less. And in Anihallaters case! Well there is to much to go into!!!! But SAMCOE is backing up his stuff and going to correct all the mistakes in Mario's engine!! New piston, sleave, and fix the abomination in his head! It turns out that there is a special way of setting the sleave so it doesn't drop and Sam just forgot to give the directions for it. He is also going to start O-Ringing the sleaves from the manufacturer. He also is having new o-ring style gaskets being made, the same as the new Pami gaskets that Cometic is making!! He is going to send these gaskets to whomever bought the 720 Kit! In the mean time I will be putting the engine back together tommorow and should be out testing it Friday or Saturday. I beleive I have all the problems resolved this time. I will keep you informed.

Angry,

NOW THAT IS DAMN GOOD NEWS. I'm not going to tell my Stage III bud cause I want to get it and make him sweat it!!! Please do keep us posted. I'm glad to hear the happy outcome. Kudos to Sam Coe. The price to me is right for somethinglike that against a Pami 703 cylinder. I'm not knocking Pami but it seems ANYTHING for the damn DS is expensive. Angry please let us know of the outcome.

ANGRY IS A STAND UP GUY!!!!! If my boy Tony wouldnt have ripped his own motor out 10 times! and figured whats really going on TECKNICALLYwith this 720 kit, i personally believe everyone would still be standing around with there puds in hand!!!!!!!!! and SAMCOE is backing his word on this 105mm kit. ill bet if people started to bug ANGRY BAJA to install this kit, if he had enough people interested he would do it for half the price of anyone out there IF it was worth hi while..thanks to TONY i am back on track without seriously having to make a few peoples lifes miserable !!!he is the one that really deserves the credit for the R&D WORK on this particular 720 kit. WHATCH OUT everyone for mechanics who claim to think they know it all. you could really pay dearly if this kit is not installed properly..THANKS AGAIN TO TONY [ANGRY BAJA] YOU DA MAN!!!!!

I hear that...

Once again Angry.. thanks again. Let me know when you get that new piston in. Afterwards I will call Same Coe and drive the final nail in my bills.

Question... here is one thing I have been wondering... can I run this kit with a stock head? I'd rather have big bore now headwork later. Thanks Angry and anyone else who participated in my many questions.

You can run it with the stock head. But if you can't afford the Valve work you should at least go with the Port work.
