Default I need some help.

I was out today trying to tune the ds. I am pretty new to the machine so I don't quite have a good feel for it. well when i was just putting at idle I felt my chain chatering. Does everybody get that becuase of the machine being so torquey?

I figured I had a loose chain, So I tightened the chain and it still does it.

So now I look at my front drive sprocket and checked if it is loose, I have about an 1/8th inch play if you really push and pull on it pretty good by hand. Do you all have the same? Thanks to everybody in advance.

the play is on the shaft that holds the sprocket and nut. So when i pull on the sprocket the shaft moves slightly. Is this ok do you think.

The shaft end play that you describe is normal. What you are most likely hearing (feeling) is the lame chain roller banging around, which is also normal after you put a few hours on it. Replace it with a TM Designs roller or a skateboard wheel. Lot's of posts on this subject, do a search.
