guys whats your opinions on cannondale's future?
guys just interested in hearin your opinions on cannondales situation, of course cannondale went bankrupt, so what now, i was really considering getting one to sit beside the DS in the garage before this came up, ever since i backed off, i worry about parts in the future mostly, and new engines, and tech knowledge a few years down the road? Anyway now they are cheaper than ever cause people are trying to get out from under them, and there are some reallly sweet ones out there...
whats your opionion, not so much whether you like cannondale performance wise, but do you think it is "steal of a deal" now that prices are so low... or a bike that once broken could never be repaired????
thanks guys

I had a cannondale , and to tell you the truth ,even if you have a problem such as gears wich i have seen a blown tranny on my buddies440 you are going to get hammered on labor costs no matter what.. and if you ride really hard you will see that most all of them spring some kind of motor leak.but if there is a unbelievable deal ,get it as long as you are prepared for mantainance.

Alaska posted that he bought a new cannon in the crate for 4000 dollars. Unless you can handle the maintance and have a machine shop to build parts for you i would stay away from it. To bad cannondale did not use a motor from a big manufacture, cause the motor issues are the only part that would worry me. To bad they did not put a ktm motor in that thing

If you've got some money you don't need and can budget in some more for unexpected repairs, and you are willing to learn to work the machine, the 'dales will reward you. Honestly. The engine problems are pretty well known by owners and the preventive fixes have been implemented. We'll see what happens next. If they get bought, prices will rise, If they don't get bought, prices will go a bit lower yet i figure.
