Outlander Oil

If you are thinking about going to synthetic, be watchful - Bombardier has some specific guidelines about which synthetics can be used. Also, not sure how many miles/hours you have on yours yet, but many dealers recommend waiting to do the "dealer only first service" until 200-250kms. Maybe check with you dealer.
BTW, Congrats on the new machine!

i took my machine out of the shop and am only due back at 500 miles. my dealer runs synthetic only. they say that bombardier wants it that way cause there is a 3 year warranty on the motor and powertrain.

The manual that came with my new Traxter Max says to use 10W40 with API spec of SG, SH or SJ.
Most any high-quality high-detergent oil meets this spec.
The manual also says: If you use synthetic oil to only use Bombardier synthetic oil. Other brands of synthetic may cause clutch slippage.
The dealer said they would like to sell me their oil but it would be fine to use any good oil that meets the spec.
My Tax Max has the 3 year warranty.
