I think the toughest paddles out are the Skat Trak Exteme Haulers. They come in 22's.

You can get Extremes with a Kevlar reinforcing as an option but a cheaper route would be mud tire like the terra design. You are bound to hit some rocks, dirt, roots etc.

The molded paddles like CHeng SHin or Kenda are very tough but I think the DS needs bigger than an 8 inch rim and I think these are all 8 inch rim sizes. They are tough though.

Don't we all I think that the kevlar extremes would be a good option.

Not all molded paddles are good enough for snow. I ride in the snow alot but always end up in small gravel ect on the trail or parking lot. I destroyed a set of kenda's in 1 day doing this.
I would think that the paddle on my Skat Trac Extreams would be tough enough but don't forget the rest of the tire is very thin and would not hold up to any rock or even ice contact.
I would go with the paddle masters. They have a very tough paddle and the rest of the tire is bilt to handle the abuse.

you cant get 8in rims for the ds? and paddle masters are very very heavy and I have them on 10in rims!
