Default Fresh rebuild difficulties! Need feedback!!

I think we might be on to something I hope! I looked in the manual and apparently there is a screen in the Oil Tank itself! I think from the last time when his engine had spewed a ton of coolant in his oil that it somehow may have collected and wasn't letting oil get down into the motor. Just enough though to keep it from Seizing. Mario is supposed to call me back here in a little bit and let me know what he finds. The only other thing it could be is the Oil pressureregulator and if that is the cas e then that REALLY SUCKS!!! Because then you have to split the cases!!!! I would like to get some high pressure air and try and blow thru this thing and possibly clean it out. We will know something by tommorow I hope!!!!

so did you find any brass specks in your oil when you changed it? my experiance with brass is that when it overheats it will bind and sieze your crank - apparently you didn't get to that point but I wouldn't be running it until you split the cases and inspect it- I know big bummer!
If I were you I take whomever built your motor out behind the woodshed and kick their ..... then I'd sue them to the fullest extent of the law for all damages, emotional distress, anxiety, loss riding time, fuel wasted and any thing else you can come up with- these fly-by-night builders have to learn thay can't get away with this kinda crap.

No, kidding aside bite the bullet and tear it down and go over everything thoroughly- hope the damage is minimal

Hey Curtis, Let me tell you what. There is a ton of brass shavings in the plug! So I believe that when the strainer in the tank got clogged it starved out just enough oil to fry his bearings!! This really sucks! I will tell everyone right now, CLEAN THE OIL STRAINER IN YOUR OIL TANK AT EVERY OIL CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!! VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!! That strainer gets clogged up with filaments from your filter after time and you will start starving your engine. An NEVER us the same oil filter twice!!!! NEVER!!!!

I just got mine apart and I think all my brass shaving came from the rod bearing...good thing I am putting in another crank.
