I have a 2003 Baja and the oil light is coming on. At first I sent it to the dealer and they put a sender in it. After having about 2 hours on the new sender the light came back on. However, know the light will sometimes be on and sometimes be off. If the light is on when you start it, it will stay on. If it is out when you start it, it will stay out. I will be testing the oil pressure with a gauge as soon as I get the spec. I heard senders are an unreliable item on these quads, any truth to that? Has anybody put on a mechanical or eletric autometer oil pressure gauge?

 

I have put 4 in my 02 Baja. I think it has to do with water getting in the sensor. Mine seem to go out after I wash it. My buddy never washes his DS and he has not had one go out yet. I bought 5 of them so I dont have to worry about it going out when i'm riding, I can just switch it out and i'm back on my way.

 

If you PM either Jiminok or The Punisher they can tell you where they got their oil pressure guages from. They are sweet looking guages too.

 

The gauge is a nice addition to the bomb...easy to install...good insurance.
