Mini 90 SUNL
#11
Thanks, I have pulled the plug and cleaned it off. I still have to crank on it alot after doing that even I might try a new plug and see what happens. I'm starting to wonder if it isn't the ignition coil or regulator. It will crank over OK it just won't fire. It only does it on the first startup of the day. Like I said before it seem like the battery is a little under powered.
Also, my sons chain rubs the swing arm and chain guard. We get a licking noise until the shock is compressed then it seems to go away.

I have the chain problem on my son's mini 90 as well; so far, doesn't seem to be much of a problem other than annoyance from the rattle. I also had cranking issues with his when we first got it back before Christmas last year. His would crank okay but I had to hold the choke out (it always wants to pull back) and bump the throttle a little to get it to start; that was a pain because of where the choke is located. After his started, it wouldn't idle without holding down the throttle. Once it warmed up a little, I could release the throttle and it would idle for a few minutes and then die. After a few days of this, I adjusted the idle on the carburetor and now it cranks and idles perfectly.
We also have a Kazuma Baby Falcon 110 and it was harder to crank than the 90. Again, it would hit okay as long has I was bumping the throttle but it wouldn't idle; so I had to sit on it for as much as five minutes, working the throttle to keep it running until it warmed up. I adjusted the carburetor on it and now it cranks and idles just fine. If you haven't done anything with the carburetor yet, you might want to give it a look.
