John,

Kids just took out the new 90 today and love it. I got the fuel line you sent, but decided to replace it with some heavier automotive 1/4" fuel ine and screw down clamps. (No offense but the line and clamps on it aren't worth a darn.) I would suggest that for anyone that has one of these little buggers. The starter connection seems to be giving me problems though. I've not had a chance to trouble shoot it yet as I cannot get the kids off the damn thing for 5 minutes. A little push on the connector seems to get it going but I am going to have to get a better solution than that. Are you going to get any of the Kazuma KMZ 150's anytime soon? I was thinking about getting one of those since the first one went well.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Marc

John,

Thanks for the new filter. What's with the old one?

I am only getting part of the story here, but it appears I am having a similar problem with the fuel line. First day we had it (Christmas day) gas poured out of the main fuel line from the tank. I found the line to be very brittle and stiff. I replaced it with an automotive line, but still had leakage problems. I tried some standard motorcycle fuel line but after pulling off both my thumbnails gave up trying to force the stuff on. I guess I will go back to the automotive fuel line and clamp it down tighter, i was a little afraid of crushing the plastic nipple.

Please check the tank also, make sure there is not a leak in it!

If you have thick automotive line it can take a good bit of pressure from the clamp if you have the screw down type, or you can get the band style spring clamp. I used the screw down type and put a good deal of pressure on it, 1/4" inside diameter fit well. It took a little pushing to get it on the tank though. Good luck.

Thanks for the replys. I did pull the line off and just put my finger over the tank outlet nipple, put some gas in and didn't have any leaks. So I am fairly sure it was just that brittle fuel line. I put 1/4 automotive fuel line on yesturday. I think trying to force the motorcycle line on gave me freakish super strength becuase the automotive line seemed to go on alot easier this time, I was able to push it clear up snug with the bottom of the tank then I clamped it down much tighter with the screw on clamps. Its been nearly 24 hours and it hasn't leaked yet so I may be done. Other than this I have been totally pleased with this little machine and the kids love it! May want to consider swapping that brittle crap of a fuel line out before you ship, just attach it to the end of that fuel filter you sent out.

i got one of these for my boy for xmas. first thing i did was to change the fuel line and filter. i had left over 1/4" line from my quad and a bigger filter. it just didn't look safe with the stock line. the line is brittle / too thin, the clamps are worthless and the filter might work on an RC car. it cost me nothing to fix it and most of the rest of the quad is pretty good for the money.

I also bought one of these for my son for Christmas and he loves it I am very happy with its performance once it is running. Its just getting it started that is the problem. I've charged the battery completely and the very next day its dead. The only way I can get it started it seems, is if I put the charger on it while starting it. I thought about buying a new battery but I want to figure out why I have to crank on it for 5 minutes to get it started. I was reading about the starter connection and I think I might look into that. Over all I am am very happy with the atv just not when it comes to starting it.

If the starter motor is engaging when you press the button, it may be your plug. They seem to foul pretty quickly. Have you changed the plug in it? Also just a question for anyone else that has one, it seems that on my sons the chain rubs the top of the swing arm a lot. It has plenty of tension when it's sitting and I'm afraid to tighten it anymore than it is. Just wondering if anyone else is have a similiar thing going on with theirs.
