Default yamoto 150 atv questions

I have a 2004 yamoto 150 .
I had to take motor out to do some repairs to the frame (too long of a story to explain why ) any way, the atv ran fine when i took apart. now I put everything back together, and I am not sure that I got the tubes to / from carb at right places. I turned it over a few times (elec start),would not start. checked the oil to make sure level was ok --and alot of gas is in the oil .
Can you tell me if the tube from the cylinder head connects to the vent tube on the carb ?
I disconnected that tube - - and gas is comming out of the carb vent tube(that's what the parts list identifies it as )This is where I thought the tube was connected.
I guess I'll just ask if the tube from the fuel filter connects to the bottom of the bowl (bottom left ,as sitting on seat)?
I'm not a mechanic --- if that's not obvious- - but I would appreciate any help or a pic of where the tubes connect, or if you think the carb may have a stuck float or something from sitting for a few months.
Thanks for the assistance.

There is a tube at the bottom of the bowl that just hangs there. It should not be hooked to anything. The fuel filter tube is the carb fuel supply and should be hooked to where the fuel shut off is on the carb. There is also a vent tube that comes out from the side of the carb. This one also just hangs. I actually removed that one because it interfered with the choke on mine.

FTE,

Take a look at my pics. There you should be able to find where each of the lines connect to. There is a vacuum line that comes out the the intake manifold that should connect to the top right side of your carb. The Tube that comes out of the valve cover is not connected to anything. And there is also a pic of where to connect your fuel line (left side of carb). And the tube that comes out from the bottom of the carb bowl should not be connected to anything. Hope this helps. If you have any other questions or need pics let me know and I will e-mail them to you.

Hay 2manytoys what type of carb is on your 110?
Is it a CV carb. or a slide?

I guess the carb on my 110 is different than the 150 carb? Do these 150 carbs still have the auto choke?

I do think that the newer models have changed over to the manual choke. But this is for the Redcat VX, Boreem and Yamoto versions. I know nothing about the Kazuma 150's. The standard for the GY6 model engines come with the CV carbs.

Thanks to you guys that answered my questions about my carb tube hook - ups. It will be a day or so before I get back to it ,to work on it / but with your responses I should be able to get it .
I think the only one I had right was from the intake manifold / to the top right of the carb.
From memory I can't picture a hook up on the left side, other than at the bottom of the bowl., but I know you said that tube just hangs there .

Well, Happy New Year --- I may get back with more questions.
Thanks again

Yes the one on the bottom is the carb bowl vent and should not be attached to anything. The intake to carb is also right.

what type oil do you all recomend for the 2004 yamoto 150's? synthetic, straight 30? We have 2 150's and a 90 that we run the hell out of. the 90 is a pooch but the 150's are fun except for loose bolts etc...thanks

Default yamoto 150 atv questions

I bought a Yamoto 150 from a co-worker for I thought is a great price ($700). It looks like new. However, he told me it was a 2005. But from the threads I've read so far, it seems that the 2005 models had a manual choke, as well as reverse. Mine has the auto choke and no reverse. Where can I find a VIN number or something that I can verify what model year my son's quad is?

The only problem so far is that it smokes more than I think it should for a 4-stroke. I changed the oil (15w-40 synthetic) but no change. The previous owner said it had been sitting for 6 months before I bought it. Could it just need some good hard riding or does white smoke automatically indicate ring damage or faulty valve stem seals?

Blue smoke is oil burning not white.
