Default kazuma sprockets and power upgrade

Got my kid a kazuma 110 and it just dosn't have the power to operate in the sand where we ride. Anyway looking for info on power upgrades, like exhaust mods or slip on muffler, carb work, and sprockets that will bolt on. Not sure what size chain I have either. Any help would be great!!!!

The muffler on my Kazuma is 1 piece welded together!! Probably would have to go and get a universal silencer from Supertrappor FMF.

I have posted for the same info for my sons Kazuma 110 and haven't gotten any response.

One thing I am going to do is to switch sides with the back tires. This will reverse the tread direction and I think they will dig into the sand better. Also, I am going to put in a better spark plug. I also wanted to see if I could rig a better air filter to fit it. I am sure a better muffler will help considering how soft sounding it is, but I don't know what to get for a muffler. I am also going to get some spacers as my sons tipped twice this past weekend.

Please let me know how you make out. thanks,
Teej

I gained a lot of hp by modifying the muffler on my Falcon 250. Cut the curve off the end of the pipe coming out of the end of the muffler. Take a 1 1/8 hole saw and cut out the rest of the pipe. Take the piece you just cut out of the hole saw and cut another 1 1/8 hole throught the next plate. You can even cut a smaller hole than this if you wish and work your way up till you're happy with the power to noise ratio. My muffler is louder but not obnoxious. You can even put a smaller diameter set of tires on the rear. It would sacrifice some top end speed but add some power to the whole speed range. If your 110 has a 3 x 100mm bolt pattern rim like my 250 you can purchase new rear rims from Dennis Kirk. They are a dual 3 x 110 and 4 x 110 pattern on 1 rim. They are only around $27 each. There are two different offsets too. One is a 4 1/2 outside offset and the other is a 5 1/2 offset which would make the rear stance a little wider and make the bike more stable. I wrote a setup guide for USA-ATV's for the falcon250. If you want I can send it to you. It has some carb and engine tuning tricks that might get you some more horsepower. It's in MS Word format.

That would be some great info i8amm. if you could send it to me that would help out a lot. About my kids quad. I had a friend make 3.5inch spacers for the back and 1.5 inch on the front. I am also planning on modifying the pipe and around here in the summer we ride in the river so I am going to make a new air box so I can snorkle it and mabe add a better filter. I have b een trying to find a sprocket for the back to make it a little more powerful but they use such a big chain I am having no luck. I'll let you all know how it goes.

Just to let you know, Dennis kirk has rims with a 3 x 100 mm and 4 x 100 mm pattern on them for about $27. From what I could tell by measuring my Falcon 250 these will fit. One has a 3 inside and 5.5 outside offset for a wider stance and the other has a 4.25 x 4.25 offset which would be hair wider but close to stock. They are 8 inch rims. If you go to their website and click on ATV then wheels/tires than wheels and set it to lowest to highest cost they are the 1st and 3rd lowest in cost. One states 4.25 x 4.25, the other doesn't give the offset but an email response from Dennis Kirk stated they were the 5.5 outside offset. These would widen the rear stance of your bike (if you have the same bolt pattern) and give it more stability, even with the wheel spacers. I ordered a set of Carlisle turf tamers with a smaller diameter/profile to increase my overall power a bit. I'll sacrifice some top end speed but I'm not looking to be an organ doner just yet. I ordered the tires from a different site though. Got them for 1/2 the price of the same tire from Dennis Kirk. Took my Falcon 250 out today and ran with a Yamaha YZ 450 dirt bike. I was quite impressed. Either he is a little light on the throttle or I have my Falcon running pretty good. I even kept up to him (as close as I could without getting rooster tailed) through a bunch of real tight turns. I 'm real impressed with my chinese quad.

We really like our sons Falcon 110 too, but just some advice. Keep the epoxy handy. The Kazuma body plastic snaps easy.

I've already got a new rear body section coming. There were some deep gouges in the plastic that I would have lived with but the wife was not happy with. USA-ATV's is sending a new section. I'll put that on to make the wife happy and keep the old scratched one to replace it with should it eventually become trashed. I had some good luck using a wide tipped soldering iron to repair plastic on my Honda 200sx. Just melt the two pieces together on the top and the bottom. It doesn't look real pretty but keeps the mud off you and keeps if from getting any worse. Can't look any more crappy than epoxy either. Even a combination of the two would be a good solution. Nothing beats a piece of thin aluminum or ss sheet and some rivits underneath though. There are some plastic welding kits available but I can't recall where at the moment.

i8amm, you may be interested in this safety issue for your bike that I posted in another thread here.

***********************************************
Kazuma 250cc fully auto ATV's notice

1) See attached picture, you have to replace the cam shaft bolts in order to get a best power output. You can ask KP for the parts.

(2) See below picture and re-adjust the engine valve to get a best power output.

<![endif]>

(3) If your Kazuma250 temperature gauge (light) always run at the RED zone, which means there are still air inside the radiator, Please follow the instruction below to add the water into the radiator.

1. Drain all the water out.
2. Remove the air overflow pipe(see blow picture)

3. Add the water until you see the water come out from the overflow pipe.
4. Plug the pipe back to the carburetor and tighten firmly.
5. Add the water as slowly as possible as you can in order to keep space for
the air to come out,
6. After water is full, start the engine, crank the engine, each time cranking for only 1 second and wait for 5 second, and do the next cranking, you will see the bubble come out of the water, repeat the cranking for 10 times and turn off engine and add more water.
7. Repeat process 6 for more than 6 time, until you see no air bubble come out
from the water.
8. Total must be 0.95 quarts of water must be filled into the radiator

9. Be sure to full up the spare water bottle also.

I got this from the Stanic factory web site. I guess the pictures did not copy correctly. If you need the pics, let me know and I'll try to find the web address for you.
