Rear brakes on a mini 90, not working correct
#1
Just put together a kids mini 90 and have a brake problem. Brake lever has little to no resistance. Bleed the brakes several times, not hearing any air, but flow from bleeder is very slow, yes the brake lever is depressed. You can pump the brakes about 3 times and they get real tight, ride 20 feet then start all over again with no resistance. It's as if the piston in the caliper moves forward, but does not retract when you release the break lever. Could there still be air in the lines, if not what in the world would cause this?

sounds like a restriction in the brake line some place, or the master cylinder is bad
pump the brakes up to then the brakes will whole the bike and then bleed it and see if they release
if they do then it is in the line or the master cylinder if it doesn't its in the caliper

Yes John he did, hadn't had a chance to check them or post yet. But as always the gang at raceway came through with some help. When I run through what Vinny gave me I'll post the results.

Seems like Vinny's solution helped out John. I'm not sure my hand will ever be the same after bleeding the brakes for almost an hour. But they seem to have a better grip now.
