New Falcon Mini 90, some comments and Q's
#1
Hey all. Just recieved a Falcon 90 last week.
For the money, I'm impressed with this little quad. It's a bit cold blooded, but runs reliably once it's warmed up.
My question, like so many others is about settings on the carb. I live at 7000' ASL and all of our riding is done between 7000 and 10000 feet. This little quad looks to be running very rich, and the mixture screw doesn't seem to make any difference. Do these carbs have the jetts with the clips to control mixture (for large changes)? I don't have a lot of experience with these small carbs. I'm sure I can do the work, but would like someone more experienced to help with a starting point.
I wouldn't worry too much about the settings on this little quad, but my son likes to climb hills and the last thing I want is for him to run out of power because the quad isn't tuned correctly.

I think the most common fix I have seen for this problem is to replace the spark plug with an NGK brand plug. I would also recommend wheel spacers cause I have a six year old and not that the quad is on the tippy side but ride hard enough and it will tip. I put the ones from racewayatv.com on my sons and it widened it over 5 inches! A little more money but a whole lot better quality, it's solid aluminum block machined really nice billet style.
