Default Fuel problem SUNL 150

I have a SUNL 150 Quad, unpacked it today and got it running, I am having a problem with a fuel leak, when I shut the ATV off it starts to leak fuel out of a breather hose on the (L) side of the carb. if I shut the fuel off it stops, but as soon as I turn the fuel on to ride again it starts to leak until I get it started, also it seems to be loading up on fuel when it's at a idle. ANy help would be great.. Thanks

Default Fuel problem SUNL 150

Welcome to the forum ewffemt, I have put together a few 150's and 3 out of 4 of them leaked fuel for the first few minutes of run time. Just put a pan under it while its idling and it should stop.

But it won't idle long enough to stay running, it loads up on fuel if your not riding it. It will idle for maybe 15sec. with the fuel on, but with it off it will idle until it runs the carb dry. Have a hard time starting it if I don't shut the fuel off before shutting off the engine. And fuel still comes out of the breather tube on the (L) side of the carb with the fuel on and engine not running. Anymore help would be great.. Thanks

Id say get it running and keep it running any way you can for about 20-30 minutes. If that doesnt help you will probubly have to remove the float bowl and clean the needle and seat. I can advise you thru that if you need help.

Thanks mywifesquad, we have had it running for a long time, it has about 3 hours on it now. That was my next plan of action is to remove the carb and see what's going on in there. Any other hints would be great though. Thanks again.

mywifesquad, found the problem with the fuel leak, black plastic in the needle and seat from the plastic tank. now it runs fine even at idle, with one exception. with the engine shut off and the fuel on, it still will flood out but doesn't leak fuel. Hard to start if the fuel isn't shut off. Thanks again for your help..
