Meerkat 50 no longer runs - valve work needed?
#1
We have two meerkat 50's - they've been running great since resolving intake problems last summer.
Last weekend we rode for a couple hours, now one of them won't run. It turns over, but won't do anything else. I've confirmed that it is getting a spark, and that it is getting fuel. When I compare the compression manually (by holding my thumb in the plug hole) between the two - the one that won't run seems to have less compression. A friend of mine said it probably needs the valves re-seated or something like that. Can anyone help me figure this out?
Thanks,
-Chris

One of the only problems with these is that the valves need to be adjusted about once a year. It is very easy to do. Im sure John can walk you through it. Once it is done it will run like new. This is just mantenance.
