uni air filter

I just got a uni clamp-on filter (about a week ago) and it's great!!! The power increase is good for an air filter. The smallest they make them is for a little over 20mm carbs. If anybodys
looking for a mod for their atv this is one of the first things you shoud do. And it was only
$18 w/ shipping and handling from where I got it from. Much better than stock air filter.

I put the uni air filter on my 150. Now I'll explain about k&n vs. uni. If you want the most power you can get out of the air filter, get the K&n. But the k&n air filter allows more dirt than
a foam filter to enter your engine. Thats not good. Also, the k&n will probably make your
engine cut out if too much dirt is allowed onto it. Now w/ the uni filter, it has pores that
allows good airflow and collects dirt and dust into two layers of foam. So I'd probably
choose the uni if I were in very dusty conditions.

UNI may be good for a foam filter....but if you want it to REALLY breathe, get a K&N and add an OutterWear over it. The Outterwear will keep the finer dust out and also any water that happens to get on it.

With the k&n you probably will have to rejet your quad, and the outerwear makes you lose
some air, doesnt it? Also, w/ the k&n + rejet kit, thats about $75. The uni is only $15-20
and is almost as good as a k&n.

Well...I've tried just the K&N without the outterwear and with it. I never noticed a difference. I guess if you were into racing where you thought you'd be better off, then it might possibly make a miniscule difference in the air flow.
I've seen dynajet kits on ebay for good prices, as low as $35.00 in the BUY IT NOW category. It pays to research the parts needed before just buying one....cause there's deals out there if you look.
