Default mikuni carburetor

John at raceway sent me a new carb to try on my kmz 150 it is made by mikuni and is pretty much identical to the stock one. It is running much better but i have one question. It has a plastic y connector on the small hose that goes to the intake instead of just one straight hose. The one end of the y has nothing connected to it. I was thinking that dirt would get sucked in it even though it is very small. If I just cap it off it races like crazy. I'm thinking on some bike maybe it went to the air box or something. Anyone see anything like that before. Haven't had time to call John I have to get to work.

Thanks
Tim

Thanks John for the help Iwill say this carb is a big improvement. The atv started with ease and runs right off the bat pretty much. Today was about 32 degrees.
