Redcat 110 more low end
#1
Have Redcat 110, 13 mos old, boy getting older needing more low end from 3 speed. Sprocket? Air filter? Other options? Have a 50 & 110, both Redcat, bought before I knew of this site, have had great luck with them and am learning what to watch out for/do. Sent my buddy to Raceway, bought Jetmoto 110 last week. Service sounds 2nd to none. Thanks for any and all info.

I have a redcat 90 and it doesn't seem to have much bottom end either so what I'm looking into is putting an 11 tooth sproket on the front I'm pretty sure it has a 14 tooth on there and my dad said going from 14 to 11 would give it a good bit more bottom. Redcat has the 11 tooth on their website also you might can get it from raceway

I think you would be dropping too many teeth if you go from 14 to 11. You are going to notice a difference just dropping one tooth yet alone three. Here's a formula you can use to help you determine your sprocket drive ratio:
Take your rear tooth count divided by your front tooth count to get your drive ratio.
Also you should change your chain when you alter a sprocket, your chain you have on is already worn into by the sprockets you have now. If you change sprockets but not the chain, your chain will actually wear out the new sprockets quicker. Hope this helps.
