Default Dingo 150 lights

I would like to mount a pair of running lights on my front grill to replace the stock headlight on my Dingo 150. A standard pair from Walmart was not close to burning bright enough. Can you recommend something that would work? thanks for all your help.

Jushavinfun,

Exactly how far do you want the lights to shine. I have a pair of Walmart driving lights on mine and they shine pretty far. Another thing is my lights do put a strain on the charging system.

I have two 55w off the shelf lights. Maybe the 35w bulbs will do the trick. The luminance of the 55w lights was not enough to drive in the dark!

I boughts a pair of lights at O'Rielly's auto parts today. They are almost identical in appearance to the factory light; i.e., black plastic housing - just slightly smaller. They came with the 35 watt bulbs. I will install them later and see how they work. I would think they would do ok as the total wattage is only 15 watts higher than stock. I can get the name and model number off of the box later if anyone wants it.

Something doesn't sound right. Those should provide lots of light. How do you have them wired? Mine go straight to the battery and switched with a toggle switch. I have to turn them off and use the original light when running real slow, like walking speed or while idling, to avoid battery drainage. But they light the trail extremely well.

I am reluctant to wire directly into the battery with no kick start. I have ordered a pair of the 12 LED lights and will wire those to the battery and let you know how they work out.
