Hi, Sawyer, thanks for the feedback. I certainly do like the idea of a shaft drive, because sticks and rocks and mud and the like can get into a chain drive and bugger it up. And I think Raceway has a 110 Yamoto with shaft drive, although it is more expensive than the 110 Jetmoto chain drive. (Have to check this out.)
Also, I'd love to get the 150, but remember the manufacturers' recommendations are for max 70 c.c. for kids under 12 years, and so 110 is already quite a stretch. Also, the rated capacity of the 110 Jetmoto, according to the Raceway site, is a whopping 290 lbs, so my daughter would be good to go for a long time, and my wife, well.....
In any case, I have to see what my import costs would be to go and get the Jetmoto from Buffalo, and then decide what to do.
By the way, I spoke to Maxam in Sudbury just now, and they have their new line but the specs on the web site are for the OLD line, so don't rely on them.

We are heading North to the cottage tomorrow afternoon, but I might be able to pop in to this place in the morning since it is not too far - will keep you posted.

OK, Caper, I went to All Wheels Inc. (allwheels.ca) here in Toronto this morning and saw their quads. The little Pink utility 110 cc is the same as Daymak sells and it is not good. (They even admitted that.)
However, the 70 cc looks quite good, and comes with a speedo/odometer, and 3-speed semi-auto with reverse (using a rocker-type foot shifter, so the kid does not have to lift up with their toe to shift down - a big plus), plus a footbrake and a right (non-hydraulic) hand-brake. The foot brake is a good idea and probably all the kid will need, but the right hand-brake is mechanical and so very hard for a kid to squeeze. There are also racks front and back, and double A-arm front suspension (with mono rear). The front shocks are good, but the rear seems to be quite weak.
They also have a new, larger 110 that looks quite good - also semi-auto, but with a left-hand hydraulic brake that is easier to work. The frame is very strong, the tires are better, and the shocks are better. It is brand new (like to 70), and so should reflect more recent Mainland China quality. (I think that several dealers are just recently getting quads that are vast improvements over the earlier mainland quads - big 4 lookout!) They are also apparently getting a 90 on this same frame next month, so I would say this is their best kids quad right now.
They also told me they have been at it 8 years, and in fact they say they were the first to start importing Mainland Chinese quads and scooters and such., and have a partnership with the factory in China. They also said they have 3 mechanics, and stores in sveral places.
So there you are - they look pretty good to me, but I don't know of anyone who has dealt with them.
Off to the cottage for the weekend, perchance to ride on some real nice muddy trails, because the snow will be metled and my favourite trail will be at at its meanest!

You didn't happen to notice the price on the 70cc and 110cc did you!!!...Thanks....Are the one you seen on there web-site..........Caper.......

Caper, they said they would give me the 70 for $1100 out the door, so the 110 would probably be a couple of hundred more. Good prices, to be sure, and perhaps worth coming down to have a look, maybe after the 90s arrive next month. (They also said they would get speedos on the 90s and 110s.)
Llet me know if you come down, as I would like to check out the 90s as well. (I'm looking for a kid's quad that adults can ride as well, so the 90 and 110 would be better for me, and I am worried a bit about the weak rear shocks on the 70s.)

As soon as the 90cc come in I will go down and have a look.......How will I know when they get them??...........Is that 70cc for 1100 on there web-site?.....Or it a newer model!!!..Thanks for your help................Caper...........

Caper: For the 90 you just have to check every once in a while, and they only have one 70, so that's the one on the website.
Did I mention they are planning to get speedos on the 90's and 110's?
BTW, note that Eton Canada is now selling their 2-stroke 90s for $2K Canadian. (No reverse on them, however.)
