The shifter is a very simple device. Modifying it, or just changing it out couldn't be that bad. It is pretty low IMHO. I get scared that a stick or something is going to hit my foot when I shift up, so a friend and I are going to *try* to make a shifter like the Kazuma 110 has with a heel shifter, and the toe shifter up higher. Will report! =)

I have Kazuma shifters if you want to try one.

yea ummmm... thats a good idea but i had a 110 withone like that i relly dont like it. is there any way to move it up.higher so i can get my foot under it... theres another problem with this you are going to have a harder time with shifting because on the 110 the shifter is on top of the foot peg..... i think

I don't have the old falcon 110 anymore, so I can't see if work without modification. It's probably just my paranoia getting the best of me. I doubt I'm going to have issues.

Talked to John today about something or other and he mentioned this thread. He is going to see if Eugene will check a 250 and see if the kazuma shifter will fit. I'm sure he will report it. I would love to try it, although I don't really have any trouble with my shifter.

Uhh... every single Honda clone 50-125 motor I've ever seen has a very easily adjustable shifter. There should be a bolt (most likely 10mm) that goes through the shifter. Loosen that, pull the shifter off, and move it up a spline or two. Tighten it down, go ride and readjust until you're happy.

Do that rather than buy one of those awful heel/toe shifters.

If I remember right you cant move the shifter up one spline on the shift shaft on the Jetmoto 250. The shifter will hit the cases and prevent you from up shifting.
