my air filter is makein a suckey sound my freinds dad was over....amazeing with atv/dirt bikes.... herd my quad runnin and he said it made a suckin noise and i said that it has always done that he said its weird...he thought it might be suckin somewhere else but he put his hand over the filter and it stoped makein this noise is it relly suposta do this.... and what can i do to stop this

 

I believe it's normal for this kind of intake. When I cleaned my K&N filter, and cleaned the carb out the sucking sound almost went away. Have you cleaned your carb? The gas tank comes with a TON of rust in it which is too small to be stopped by the stock fuel filter. Maybe that had something to do with it, but I'm not sure.

iv clean my carb...i didnt have carb cleaner tho i just wiped it out...and i havent cleaned it out yet..doesnt look that bad... can i wash it out...and does it have to be sprayed or somethin.....and where is the fule filter??? it it the thing on the fule line...daaaaaaa,[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

 

I cranked up the quad with my snorkle today, and the sucking sound is coming from the air filter. It's apparently normal
