SUNL 90 Nothing!
#1
My 1 year old Sunl 90 Won't crank. My daughter took it for a ride and the next day nothing! I checked the fuses on the posotive lead, the connectors under the handle bars. The battery is showing good, but, no lights, no brake light when squeezing the brake.
Need Help. Thanks.

what you expect buying a sunl? after 1 year i'm surprize it not in the trash yet, are you keeping a close eye on the frame? they like to break at the swing arm, oh by the way you need to replace the battery, walmart has them __4lbs or you can use a __5lbs both the same size but the 5lbs has more cca

OK, I understand what I bought. I posted for help, not for a chance to be bashed for my purchase. We all make mistakes. I am just looking for a little help. I have a 6 year old that wants to ride.

My Edit!
Try looking at the Solenoid, it's between the battery and the starter. sound like if the battery is in fact good as you say you may have a bad connection there. I agree it sounds more like a bad battery though!

OK, I had some time over the weekend to look into this a little. I took all the plastics off and got to the solenoid. I jumped the solenoid and the starter turned, so, I think I have proven two things; 1- the battery is not the problem and 2-the solenoid is good.
So I am guessing it is either in the safety circuit on the handbrake or in the key switch circuit. Is there an easy way to "jump these circuits to try to narrow it down?
Am I on the right path?

If jumping the solenoid caused it to turn over, then you might need an ignition switch. You need to be carefull how it is wired up, if you are not using a direct replacement part (with plug.)
It could also be the safety circuit. Does the ATV require you to hold a break or something to start it? You would probably short those connections to be sure before buying anything. I don't know a whole lot, but I hope this helps you get a place to start.
