Default Raceway MS 110...???

Hey Everyone,

I am in the market for a mid size quad for my son. He'll be 11 this year and he is big for his age, so this one seems to fit the bill without breaking the bank.

I will probably buy from raceway due to the excellent references from here.

The specs from this quad and the other two similar 110's (jetmoto & Kazuma Falcon) seem very similar with the Raceway MS being just larger in some dimensions. I'm also hoping that with proper maintenance he may be able to ride it for at least a few years. I don't ever see him being a real aggressive rider.

If anyone has any info they would like to share I would appreciate it.
Oh, and here is a link to the quad in question... Raceway MS 110cc

Thanks,
Trevor

Yes but you have the experience to handle it... he doesn't. The 110 will have enough power for him and the size is perfect. Like I said, he'll probably never be an aggresive rider it's just something for family weekend outings.

So, no one else has any other input on these quads?

It all depends upon WEIGHT !!! If he weighs about 100 pounds or more than the 110 is TOO small. I read about people griping about 3rd gear (high) on the JM110 for their daughters, etc.(bogging, no power, etc) & had some intrepidation about the JM 110 that I had bought for my 6 year old 50 pound grandson (he had not been shown about 2nd or 3rd gear yet) (throttle limit screw, screwed way in - actually longer screw than factory) and even with throttle SEVERLY limited, 3rd gear was just fine.
The moral of the story is - whith these small cc engines, the total weight that it is expected to pull around is FAR MORE IMPORTANT than age or experience of the rider. If in doubt, buy a bigger cc engine, and limit the throttle (for the weight of the expected rider, NOT your weight). I read on the forum about this mistake - so when I set up my grandson's, I figured better too slow that to fast. I set it up and it would bearing even move with me on it (him not around). He got on it, and just flew around the yard.

Just remember the 3 most important rules in sizing an ATV - weight, weight & weight.
