Adding a Kick Start to a Dingo 150?
#1
Hey all I was wondering if anyone might have added a kick start to their Dingo 150 as a back-up? Based on what I have read on the CVT in scooters it looks like one could be added. Just wonder if there is enough space. Throwing it out there as a back-up to if/when the bat fails....

Im kinda confused. I thought all 150's had a kickstarter sticking out of the CVT case?

No Kick Start on mine. There is a hole in the CVT cover where a kick start could be, but its covered up with a rubber plug.
So that's great I got no left side drain plug for the oil, nor a kick start heheheh....
I am gonna look inside when I change the variator to a Dr Pulley performance one with 9 gram roller weights.
So we soon shall see....

I asked the same question about 2 weeks ago with no response. I have been looking at gy6 parts on Ebay and almost all gy6 engine have this feature. My Dingo 150 has the hole in the side case. It would seem just a matter of buying all the parts. Chris

both of my ex dingos had oil drain plugs and did not have a rubber plug in the cvt cover, so it prouably that kazuma changed engine suppliers. i installed dr pulley sliders in my 250 buggy, stock was 22gr, i replaced them with 15gr. they worked pretty good. takes about 30 minutes and well worth the $25.00. while you at it you might want to consider a kelvar belt and a clutch spring.
