Hi Sgt Tanner, in another thread titled 'Taotao 250 D front sprocket change', this very problem you have with the 12 tooth is addresed. TaoTao 250 D sprocket change Read through the thread and you will find some good info from Slydogrus, another member. In one of his posts he talks about having to go with some allen head bolts on the sprocket to clear the chain. He has some picks showing the difference between the 12 and the 14 tooth sprockets.

Putting an 11 inch tire from a 9.5 inch is not a huge jump and should work fine. Here is a link to some excellent info on ATV tires and wheel mounting and sizing, note the bottom of the page about "rim sizes and offsets"............

i have had a few running issues with mine.....it would turn over and run fine but as soon as you touched the throttle it died....the fuel lines were blocked with mud....the fuel cap is poorly fitting and lets water and mud in i have just cleaned mine....now as you can see in my youtube account i got is smothered in mud ,now when i removed the gas cap there was a ring on mud about 1/8th of a inch thick UNDER WERE THE GAS CAP SIT,now my points
1.check for fuel contamination if you have had it in wet mud or rain as there is obviously a fuel cap fittment issuse.
2.when i checked my fuel lines for blockages the filter was never more than half full....now i have cleaned it out it sits 3/4 full all times as i use a piece of wire in my drill and fed it into the line and then span it to clean mud out before i flushed it through
3.and finally the last thing i have found is the fuel cap "reciever" area(if thats the right name to give it lol) has a small drain plug at the front that goes through the tank as a solid pipe....you can see it if you shine a flashlight into tank and look forward, and it drains out the bottom to let any water that gets under the cap to drain away...well it blocks from the bottom as the is no protection from the mud spray that comes off of the front wheels.
hope this helps anyone with fuel supply issuse......btw whats the fuel prices where you guys are....michigan is at about $3:44 reg.....blows to high hell if you ask me
