I have a gy6 150cc go kart. can a faulty voltage rregulator cause the electronic choke to not work? can't get it started. I've installed new carburator, ignition coil, battery, and cdi box. before putting new carb on, it would start for a few seconds when I poured gas in carb then stall. any help would be appreciated. thx

 

Although it is possible for the regulator to be taking all the power from the alternator, leaving nothing for the choke, that isn't your problem, as the choke is on all the time the engine isn't running, with a delay, so the choke is still on while warming up and doesn't come back on until the engine (and choke) has cooled after switching off.

Your new carb may need tuning to suit your engine, this is harder to get right than cleaning the old one out. Or your engine could be down on compression which makes it bad to start. Check valve clearances first.
