I've been trying without much luck to identify this engine and find parts for it. Is there anyone around who can help me out? I believe its a Lifan engine, although it doesnt say it anywhere, it at least looks like one. The engine numbers are xf162fmj *02001410*. Air cooled, pushrod engine. Carb has cable operated slide, and cable operated accelerator pump. Carb is labeled as a keihin PD carb. I'm looking for a carb rebuild kit and possibly head and base gaskets. Probably a valve cover seal as well.

 

XF162FMJ indicates a clone of a Honda engine. Lifan usually write their name on the clones they produce, but there are lots of Honda copiers out there. Most copy the engine exactly so Honda parts fit, but I have known the copiers to alter stud positions and castings, so gaskets etc, for Hondas and other copies, don't fit.

 

What honda motor do you think its a clone of? It's not one I'm familiar with.
