Default 110 ATVs lost spark.

Run fine started acting like running out of gas. Checked had weak spark at plug. Now has no spark. Done cdi test. Need info on results. Thanks

Did you try replacing plug first

Yeah done all the normal checks. Auto and desiel mechanic for 25yrs. First time with these things. Checked cdi wiring and have results from the generic test on here. The last test I didn't get any voltage. Not at home right now. Will post results later today.

on a 5 pin cdi either cut or pop the middle wire, on most they are black / white this is used for all electrics like kill switch and things
try that first then test for spark again

if after that then it would be down to stator plate / cdi or ignition coil

yeah tried that. I've replaced stator and pick up, coil, cdi, and spark plug, and unhooked middle wire for kill switch all from a running atv. Still no spark. Going to take body off and look for broken or loose wires.

You don't mention the make of Quad. People on here seem to assume the kill wire should be disconnected to get a spark. Most are, but a fair number of makes work the opposite way, i.e. earth them to get a spark. Buying a replacement CDI is also fraught with difficulty because of this as, get the wrong one and it will only spark when the key is in the off position.
