The trouble is there are almost as many ways of wiring a starter circuit as there are makes of Quad. Some wire the live from ignition switch to the start button, some wire the earth to it. Almost all have a lockout, either the bike has to be in neutral (if it has gears at all) or one of the brakes has to be on. All this can involve relays, diodes and extra wiring, which makes the circuit quite complex. Which combination they have chosen will determine how you troubleshoot it.
