I have 2 250cc ATV's. A Gio and a shinray. I bought a new carb/filter combo. I removed it to switch and see how new purchased one ran. Once removed I noticed it was sucking in dust! Back side of choke plate was coated! I was thinking about trying to re locate to the box under the front lights. I was originally thinking what if I run it forward into the under light box to create more of a forced/cold air intake. After realizing how "exposed" my air intake is I'm less worried about trying to get more/colder air for when I bore it than creating a (safer) intake. I have been watching snorkel installation videos. I don't plan to go much deeper than my feet ever so I don't need a snorkel. I'd like an airbox. I'm thinking maybe rout it around battery and up by rear fender and create some form of box. Any ideas or advice appreciated.

My thought of a usable air box, just tune in hole with green tape, air will be scooped in my where lights would be over top of this.
