Default Air flow Problems

Snorkled my 650p, Also rejetted. Problem is that when I have the air box intake turrned towards me, it sputters at high speeds, like it not getting enough air, I believe the air is moving to fast around the intake that its not getting enough air. So I turnned it around so that the intake is away from me again at high speeds it lags when I get on and let off the throttle. I think its getting too much air. So My question is, I really want the intake towards me so I dont suck anything in, so do I go one up with the jets or down? Do I go up or down with both jets or just one? If its just one which one? Should I go up one size or two, or how many? Oh at low speeds it runs really well..............Thanks Z

I know what you are talking about, same senerio as you. Snorkled and rejetted and my bike acts like it is starved for air. I thought that when I put my Trapper Box back on the front racks, the air going around the box was starving the carbs.I took the box off and the bike did work better. Still not 100%. Interested in what works for you. Good Luck

take a roll of tape with u riding. tape off a quarter of the intake snorkle. if it runs better keep taping it off till it runs perfect. if taping makes it worse than u need to make the intake pipe bigger and then rejet from there.
