Orion 110cc starting/idle issue
#1
Hi all got a 110cc orion auto quad here.
just put a new loom on it due to the starter continually running when battery connected. Replaced that and it now starts off the key/button again.
it struggles to catch when starting and when it does start it is awfully rough and sounds like its boggy even at idle. It will sometimes die and sounds boggy at idle and when given gas.
any ideas what the issue could be ? Spark seems good. Its getting fuel to the bowl and looks clean.
Feels like its trying to drive away also

Try a new plug, could be as simple as that. If that doesn't work, clean the carb out, remove bowl, remove jets, clean bowl, jets and the holes they came from out with compressed air, re-assemble and try out. No altering adjusters.
Fitting a new loom for a starter problem seems drastic. If starter continues to run with ignition off, faulty solenoid. If starter starts running with ignition on, faulty start button, could possibly be a shorted wire, but unlikely.

Yeah your right it does seem drastic having to change the loom for a starter issue. But it solved that changing it.
works off the key/button again without a runaway starter.
it sometimes pops from carb when trying to start it also.
hate these little import bikes but its for a friend’s son
