Gonna burn it down!

I have read every discussion I think on no spark on this site and did every test I could find, the problem
is idk how far off my results can be and still work.. I don’t mess with engines much but I rebuilt to china quads for my kids so I learned a bit, first one runs great.. this one’s a 110 coolster
and I can’t get spark to save my life, I got a few little sparks yesterday after 3 weeks of playing with it.. need a little help if someone don’t mind donating some of ur time

All you can do is go through the tests in the "help diagnose stator" sticky at the top of the Chinese engines section. Do not assume the results to be holy writ, as different manufacturers coils give different resistance readings and voltages. However no resistance where there should be some, and open circuit where there should be a resistance, indicates a fault.

All my ohm readings are close as well as my volt readings, the only one I’m not sure about is to my ignition coil, I’ve read ur looking for 10k ohms and I’m getting 2300, I’ve had 2 brand new wire harnesses and everything that comes with them.. ignition coil, stator chi key switch etc… this things driving me nuts! I finally got a few small sparks yesterday lol small victory that I needed but short lived

I was having a similar problem recently. After testing and throwing a couple parts at it I thought there was a problem with the wiring. Put in a complete new harness and same results. I remembered seeing something about adding grounds, so I ran some wires from engine to frame and finally got spark. I ended up discovering one of the motor mounts had a crack all the way across, but was really hard to see. Just a thought.

Honestly that could possibly be it.. I had a few small
sparks the other night then it quit, idk a whole bunch about these little engines but I kept leaning toward a grounding problem for some reason! Did u connect them to the harness at all or Just from Frame to motor?

You are in the Chinese section of the forum, at the top of this section are the engine problems, frame, and general discussions, at the top of the engine problems page you find the "help diagnose stator" sticky.
The engine needs a good earth for the starter to work but, for a spark, because coil and CDI are usually earthed to the frame, you need a good earth to frame as well.

I have my negative wire from my battery hooked to the top bolt of the stator, reading 0 ohms from motor to frame, idk if that means that they are grounded good enough or not but I’ll add some grounds from the motor to the Fran wherever I can. I appreciate ur time trying to help me out to, everybody’s time is valuable these days

Well fellas the good news is I am 100% lighting this piece of Chinese crap on fire and launching it Off the Boney pile here in town and I will be sure to video it so everyone can watch it!! Bad news is I gotta drag it to get it up there 🤬🤬 I’ve never been more pissed off over something I was working on in my life!! I’m sure there is lots of ppl that would like to smash one of these and light in on fire so atleast u will get to watch
