Default Can someone identify this part?

Hello I'm new here. I'm hoping someone can help me identify what part coming out of the chain cover is. I'm not sure if the year of the quad but I think not all Chinese quads have this. It isn't the cdi plug but it has a similar plug. 4 wires connect to 2 into the old harness. I'm trying to connect a new Amazon harness. Wires coming from part name I don't know is purple, pink, green with red, and blue with red. Wires on old harness red with white, red with green. I don't see this plug on the new harness. Not sure if it's needed or not. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for the read.

I'm starting to think it's a neutral safety switch. I'm wondering if the new harness doesn't have it if it is necessary.

That's the F-N-R shift indicator wiring. None of the after market harnesses have them that I've seen.
