My first quad
#1
Hi, I've been looking to buy a quad for the past 2 months. I have a budget of 2000-3000 dollars and currently I have two options. Either a Kayo a 300, fuel injected 2021 for about 2300 dollars(The quad looks kinda good atleast from the design standpoint and my friends said that motor isn't to bad from what they saw) but I can't find any information or reviews for it, and from what I 've heard Chinese quads have really terrible build quality. The second option would be a 3200$ Yamaha yfz 450. Seller says it has 20 hours since the complete rebuild(Piston, Cylinder, Crankshaft bearings etc.), it has aftermarket rims, Maxxis tires and aftermarket A-arms.It will be nice to hear a couple opinions about the Kayo a 300 and which one I should get. Every response will be greatly apreeciated. As for my riding style, I will be riding it on flat Fieldroads, will be doing some jumping with it and taking into the mountains 3 or 4 times per year.

I've owned a couple of Chinese quads (QI YI) and a Chinese Enduro motorcycle. (Hawk 250) First off you need to get your hands dirty and twist some wrenches to check all bolts and connections the Chinese do a great job reverse engineering but they lack the eye for detail. Just because you buy new you will end up spending for upgrades. I do see one red flag as I would never take my quads off jumps and I personally would never pick anything up that has been violated. (built or rebuilt) When you take care of the machine it should last a long time. Ask for receipts for professional workmanship if you decided to go with used Japanize machines.
