I recently purchased a Redcat atv for my kids that needs some TLC. I am trying to figure out exactly what I bought though as the owner didn’t know much about year or size. I for the life of me cannot find the vin number to be able to figure out what model and year this atv is and where to find the vin. I was able to find the markings on the engine and have did the research to find that I think it’s an 80cc machine. Anyone able to help out, I will post some pictures. This is the engine markings
It has a GY6 engine and these are fairly reliable as a rule, with good parts supply. They were more popular about 15 years ago, but I think some GY6 engined scooters are still made. Kazuma make RedCats but I'm not entirely sure there wasn't another maker using the Redcat name. If it is a Kazuma, the parts supply situation is the best for any Chinese machine. Anyway, plastics seem good, so fix whatever needs fixing, and use it.
The VIN is usually at the front on Chinese bikes, often between the A arms, and usually a VIN plate rather than stamped into the frame. Kazuma/Redcat have been using Honda Cub engines for quite a while, so my guess would be pre 2010 for a GY6 engined Quad.
