In 2007, we purchased ATV's for every member of our family. This ATV was purchased brand new and adult rode by my wife. The ATV was never jumped or raced. The ATV does not have a odometer on it, but to put things into perspective, all of our ATV's were purchased within 1 month of each other, and my ATV which gets rode the most, has about 500 miles on the odometer. My wife only rides with me about 1/3 of the time. I feel very confident in saying that the mileage is pretty close to 150-200 miles on this Arctic Cat.

The ATV is trail rode, never swamped, never mudded; no kids have ever rode this ATV. It gets washed and towel dried after each ride and is stored out of the weather.

The oils (engine & transmission) were changed once after the break in period, and once again since then. The battery was replaced at the beginning of this season.

The engine fires right up via push button electric start, and runs perfect with no hesitation or any troubles at all.

We did a great deal of shopping around before choosing this Arctic Cat DVX 250. My wife wanted a sporty looking quad but something with a 250cc engine so she could learn to ride, she also wanted it to have a fully automatic transmission. This ATV was the perfect fit.

We upgraded the front shocks because the original factory front shocks seemed to be a little too harsh riding around. The softer front shocks that we added, vastly improves the ride quality. Because these newer sport quads don't have much of a front fender, we added custom front fenders from a DS-650 Can-Am. These fenders mount right to the steering knuckles and the fenders cup over the front wheels. This drastically cuts down on roost spray off the front tires. It also comes with steel braided brake lines and Kenda Klaw tires. The Klaw tires get really good traction and the braided brake lines make the ATV stop on a dime.

We also added a set of aftermarket Fly Racing handlebars for a more sporty appearance. We also had a local upholstering shop make us a custom handlebar pad which matches the color of the handlebars. At the time of adding the Fly Racing handlebars we also added a set of Hot Grips brand heated grips that have hi/lo/off settings, and we also added a set of Kolpin hand guards with integrated side mirrors. We also upgraded the clutch with an EPI full clutch kit. This really helped to wake up the performance of this quad. It is a mild "for trail riding" clutch kit. It isn't for racing and isn't aggressive. It takes off just as smooth as the stock clutch but it does allow the engine to run in the power band for peak performance. All of the upgrades that we've done are simple bolt ons. We chose not to mess with the exhaust or jetting. We left those things alone so that we didn't compromise the reliability and smooth engine operation. As stated, the engine fires right up and runs perfect. We have approximately $1000 in upgrades done to this ATV.

This ATV needs nothing, it is turn key, ready to ride. The only reason we are selling it, is that my wife feels that she is ready for something a little bigger. She is looking at a Wolverine 450 or Eiger 400, or something similar. That is why this ATV is for sale.

If I were to say anything negative about this ATV. The ATV was never wrecked or abused, however as with all ATV's, it is impossible to keep them showroom flawless considering that they are an off-road vehicle. My wife learned how to ride on this ATV so there are the usual bumps & bruises in the plastics but nothing major. There is a very small tear less than 1" long in the seat covering, from what looks like a tree branch caught it. Besides that, I can't think of anything negative to say about the ATV.

I believe this description is accurate to the best of my ability, but you are more than welcome to come see the ATV for yourself.

I'm located in Kittanning, PA. 16201 which is an easy 45 minutes north of Pittsburgh on 4 lane highway route 28.

Here it is on the map
