Gibson J-55 box guitar is in good shape has original hard case and some extras with it. Dad bought it used 30 years ago and so have no idea how old it is but over 30. Has nice bass sound and has easy touch. plays great. asking $3500 or wanting a good 4 wheeler .... not to picky utility or sport model .. 55 years old and still go bear hunting a lot so probabley utility. Just want 4 wheeler in good shape and of equal value.

You might want to get the year model on the guitar verified.

Could be worth more than you think, or less than your asking.

just wondering where you might go to find out age on gibson guitar so I could find out what it is worth?

Always been a Fender man myself. I know you cold take the neck off, and the mont/year was stamped on it. Not sure on Gibson, but if you googled it, I'm sure there's a way to find out. Or take it to an established music shop (not a pawn shop) and see if they can tell you.
