Default DS650 engine for sale

I have a complete running 2001 DS650 that runs great. I will be "upgrading" to a GSXR 1000.

The engine is for sale and I'm accepting reasonable offers. It runs great, very strong, no issues. I bought the quad from a guy who had it stored in his garage unused for years. If you look at the frame and engine there are no boot rub marks at all. It looks like it was barely ridden. It was a great score but the motor needs to go so I can start the conversion.

I'm not going to remove the engine until it is sold so that the purchaser can ride and appreciate this engine.

I live close to Sacramento and prefer a local sale. If it doesn't sell local I will consider shipping.

It can come with wiring harness or "most" anything you need as I won't need much of it. I thought about this a little more.....

I would be willing to crate it up in a box or put it on a pallet if someone can arrange shipping. (I don't know the weight until I yank it out) I would even be willing to drop it off at a freight terminal in Sacramento to save pickup charges. I don't have a business account and freight prices just kill me. I can also take a video of it running and post it on my website if someone is interested.

I'm kinda stuck in a dilemma...I wouldn't want to buy an engine without hearing it run unless I got a warranty. I felt others would feel the same. I can't start the project until the engine comes out and I don't want to yank it until it is sold....sigh

Send me a PM with your phone # if you are interested

What do you want for the engine itself?
